The Lion and The Mouse

Once, as a lion lay sleeping in his den, a naughty little mouse ran up his follow, and onto his back and up his mane and danced to the music to the music to the music and leapt on his head, so that the lion awakened up.

lion furious and mouseThe lion grabbed the mouse and, holding him in his large claws, roared in wrath. 'How challenge you awaken me up! Don't you know that I am monarch of the Beasts? any person who disturbs my rest warrants to pass away! I will kill you and eat you!'

The terrified mouse, agitating and trembling, begged the lion to let him proceed. 'Please don't consume me Your Majesty! I did not mean to awaken you, it was a error. I was only playing. delight let me proceed - and I pledge I will be your ally eternally. Who understands but one day I could save your life?'

The lion looked at the minute mouse and laughed. 'You save my life? What an absurd idea!' he said scornfully. 'But you have made me laugh, and put me into a good feeling again, so I will let you go.' And the lion opened his claws and let the mouse proceed free.

'Oh express gratitude you, your majesty,' squeaked the mouse, and scurried away as fast as he could.

A couple of days subsequent the lion was caught in a hunter's snare. labour as he might, he couldn't break free and became even more entangled in the net of cords. He let out a roar of wrath that shook the plantation. Every animal perceived it, including the tiny mouse.
